One of the best family days out in the area

Go Wild, at the Moors Valley Country Park and Forest a great day out for the whole family. The steam railway, Go Ape, Segway, the play trail is a real adventure, cycle hire, golf course, fishing, music trail, two imaginative play areas and lots more.

Moors Valley is over 800 acres and has something for everyone. A great environment to allow children to explore, be creative, learn and let go and at the same time allow the rest of the family to relax and have fun, steam train, go ape and bicycle hire.

Charges

There is no admission charge per person but vehicle charges apply.

Moors Valley Railway

I really like the steam trains and Moors Valley Railway, I even take the kids sometimes. The journey is just over a mile long and takes you through 4 tunnels, playgrounds and lakeside. (https://www.moorsvalleyrailway.co.uk/)

The Play Trail

The play trail is awesome for all ages. Wiggle through the Snake pit, balance on the fallen forest, taken away in the giant ant nest, eaten at the Crocodile crossing, get tangled in the Spider Web or climb the heights of the Hawk, thoroughly enjoyable, and the kids will like it too … watching you have lots of fun! It’s a world of discovery.

Go Ape Forest Adventures

The Go Ape adventure is a high rope course for adults and teenagers, swinging through the trees. There is a secondary Go Ape Adventure for the younger members 6 yrs plus, and a third net course for all ages, consisting of a series of giant nets and tunnels in the tree tops, great fun.

Forest Segways

One hour is enough on the Segway Forest safari.

Cycle Routes with optional cycle hire

The Moors Valley cycle routes are great for the family, five or six routes varying in length, you can also link trailers and child seats.

For longer routes, you could link this to The Castleman Trailway a scenic 16.5-mile flat route from Ringwood to Poole. It’s a beautiful walk or cycle, complete tranquillity connecting nature and railway heritage.
